Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with MI Repair Facility, factory, and MARTIN standards
  • Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair as authorized
  • Tag parts and process per published process
  • Advise service advisor immediately if any additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed with the promised time
  • Familiarity working on Classic and Modern day vehicle Platforms
  • Document detail of all work performed
  • Quality check work performed
  • Road-test vehicles to ensure repair has addressed the customer concern
  • Ensure that customers’ vehicles are kept clean.
  • Administer safety and housekeeping policies and procedures
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, governing service repair work
  • Must keep tools and work bay clean and organized
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Michigan certification required; ASE is a plus
  • Effective communication is required
  • Good understanding of the Automotive Safety components is MUST
  • Good understanding of the low voltage is a must and high voltage training is desired
  • Basic computer and software skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) 
  • Ability to diagnose and repair all major vehicle systems, including brakes, suspension, fuel/ignition, electrical, engine, engine management, drive line, heating and cooling, exhaust.
  • Excellent ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Hard worker, extremely detail oriented, efficient, organized, and self-motivated
  • Reliable – must be ready to start work by scheduled time
  • Great attitude toward work and learning 
  • Ability to be on feet for long periods of time
  • Ability to safely lift 50 pounds to chest level
  • Good past attendance record
  • Automotive enthusiasts a plus
