We are seeking a talented and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing all HR processes and practices throughout the company. This includes supporting HR functions for 3 physical locations in MI and OH, as well as several remote workforces. Responsibilities include overseeing payroll, benefits administration, compliance, recruiting, talent management, training & development, and day-to-day employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include overseeing payroll, benefits administration, compliance, recruiting, talent management, training & development, and day-to-day employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee HR department with 1-2 direct reports.
- Maintain, develop, and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Payroll for hourly and salary employees.
- Manage the recruitment process.
- Employee onboarding.
- Employee development, engagement, motivation, and preservation.
- Nurture a positive working environment and lead by example.
- Assess training needs and implement/monitor training programs.
- Report to Management and provide decisions and support using HR metrics.
- Benefits administration.
- Corporate insurance.
- Worker’s compensation.
- Ensure legal compliance at federal, state, and local levels in several jurisdictions.
- General office support
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of successful, professional HR experience (HR Generalist role preferred).
- Effective communicator with a positive attitude.
- Knowledge with HR systems and databases.
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (preferred).
- HR Certifications (SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, PHR, or similar (preferred).
- Relevant work experience is acceptable in lieu of degree or certification.
